Huawei invests R1,2 billion into Johannesburg campus

Global telecommunications giant Huawei, is creating a new campus in South Africa. The campus, which is set to be based in the north of Sandton, Johannesburg will boast 18 buildings for different faculties. The new site has been named the Huawei Office Park and has 18 unique buildings.

There are plans for all three of Huawei’s business groups in the course of time will also move into the campus. Currently, the consumer business group, Innovation Centre and Open Lab are still based in the Vunani Office Park in Sandton and the enterprise business group is in Bryanston.
The Chinese electronics company has to-date, invested an estimated $100 million (about R1,2 billion) on the new campus. The said money will go towards buying and renovating the property and buildings. –Business Report/
