Recent developments in China and Nigeria relationship are not unconnected with the renewed ties between the two giants. Although, China and Nigeria established diplomatic tie in 1972, the last decade has witnessed unprecedented renewed positive and mutually beneficial developments. Indeed between 1999 and 2006 diplomatic visits at the highest level were recorded: two visits in each direction2 and various visits at other levels. All these visits, no doubt, are precursors to developments in other facets of the relationship.
